Joyce Lurene Lundt

July 23, 1924 — June 26, 2012

Joyce Lurene Lundt, the daughter of Ernest and Esther (Erickson) Johnson, was born July 23, 1924 in Milford, Iowa. Her childhood years were spent in Milford, where she received her education, graduating from Milford High School. Joyce later attended Buena Vista College for her teaching certificate and then taught country school for one year. Joyce also worked as a clerk at the Milford Post Office for 8 years, at Swanson's grocery store for 3 years, but would say her favorite job and the one she excelled was that of wife and mother. Joyce married Wilmer Lundt on July 30, 1952 in Jackson, MN. Following their marriage, they lived in Greenville, Iowa, then moving to Linn Grove in 1964, where they made their home for many years. She was an active member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Linn Grove and a member of the Federated Women's Club. Joyce enjoyed following her children's activities and was their biggest fan, she loved spending time with her family, dining out, visiting with friends and attending the Clay Co Fair. Wilmer would say she was happiest with the wheels under her. She passed away at the Prairie View Home in Sanborn, Iowa on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at the age of 87. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wilmer on February 8, 2008 and her daughter, Jane in 1968 and her brother, Dale Johnson. Left to cherish her memory are her children: W.
