Joyce Peters

Joyce Maxine Peters, the daughter of John and Esther (Larsen) Andersen, was born May 17, 1928 in Clay County, Iowa. Her childhood years were spent in the Langdon area, Iowa area, where she received her education, graduating from Lake Center High School. Following her schooling, she continued her education with nurses training and worked for Dr. Richard Folsom, DDS in the 1960's. Joyce married Theril Otto Peters on November 20, 1955 at the Bethany Lutheran Church in Spencer. After their marriage, they lived near Everly, where they were active in farming. She was a longtime member of Hope Lutheran Church in Everly. Joyce also enjoyed sewing and quilting. Mrs. Peters passed away at the Ruthven Care Center in Ruthven, Iowa on Friday, November 6, 2009 at the age of 81. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Theril on October 9, 1985 and one son, Mark in 1981. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Glenda Peters of Spencer, Iowa; other relatives and friends.

SERVICES

Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M, Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at the Warner Chapel in Spencer.

VISITATION

Visitation will begin after 9:00 A.M., Monday with the family present from 5:00 - 6:00 p.m., Monday evening at the funeral home in Spencer.
