January 11, 1933 — May 23, 2016

Emmett B. 'Junior' Williams, the son of Emmett and Bertha (Kruckman) Williams, was born January 11, 1933 in Clinton, MO. He was raised and received his early education around the Rembrandt and Sioux Rapids area. On January 13, 1952, he married the love of his life, Joan Waterman in Rembrandt, IA. Following their marriage, they lived in Rembrandt and Storm Lake. He worked at Belts Dairy and for several farmers in the area. He and Joan began farming in 1956 in the Marathon area. In 1963, they bought the farm northeast of Webb, where he and Joan continued to farm until recently. Jr and Joan enjoyed going south to Arizona in the winter for 25 years. He loved riding his Honda Goldwing motorcycle in the warm weather and put lots of miles on it with his many friends. Since moving to Spencer in 1995, he enjoyed going to 5:00 A.M. coffee at Sister's Cafe' and afternoon coffee at Hyvee. He enjoyed driving down to the farm to check on the crops and mowing the lawn at the farm. Jr. passed away at the Spencer Hospital on Monday, May 23, 2016 at the age of 83. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister; his mother and father-in-law and three brother-in-laws.
