Judy Elaine Hallcock was born to Lester and Irene (Duff) Hallcock, west of Griswold, Iowa on February 5, 1945. The family moved to a farm west of Spencer in 1951. She attended elementary school at Riverton #4 through the 6th grade, graduating from Spencer High School in 1963. While attending high school she worked as a checker at Super Valu in Spencer. She continued her education at AIB in Des Moines, Iowa graduating with a degree in business.
She married Richard Adams on June 10, 1972. Judy and Richard started farming in the Clay county area. When she was not farming she enjoyed her children, grandchildren, and being with family and friends. She loved entertaining the children at the farm during their summer vacations. Her interests included reading, tending to her flowers, and traveling. She looked forward to water aerobics at the YMCA and having lunch with her friends.
She was a member of the First Congregational Church in Greenville, Iowa. She served as deaconess, chaired some dinners, as well as donating many hours serving on various committees.
Left to cherish her memory are husband Richard Adams, daughter Roxanne and Mike Amundson, son Jim and Leslie Adams, son Tom and Mary Adams, son Randy Adams, daughter Joleen and Pete Phillips, niece Carla and Tom Walker, sisters Nadine Howell, Jean Kunert, brother Al and Jayne Hallcock, brother-in-law Jim and Sue Adams, grandchildren Nick Miller, April Adams, Colton Birdsall, Maddie Miller, Coire Walker, Jalen Adams, Jordan Adams, Haley Adams, Mason Amundson, Trenton Walker, Nate Phillips, Quinton Amundson, Dawson Walker, Walter Phillips, Cassidy Adams, Reagan Adams, great grandchildren Jordan Miller, Gage Birdsall & Matthew Miller. Other family and friends.
Preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Irene Hallcock, mother and father-in-law, Tom and Eva Adams, brothers-in-law, James 'Bud' Howell and Bob Kunert and a sister-in-law, Dixie Adams.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at the Grace United Methodist Church in Spencer.
