Junior Ray 'Chester' Cook, the son of Chester Ray, Sr. and Geraldine Cleone (Moe) Cook, was born on December 29, 1938, in Algona, Iowa. His childhood years were spent in the Algona area where he received his early education and graduated from Algona High School. Following high school, he attended Eagle Grove Community College for two years, and completed his education at Drake, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Education.
Junior was a teacher for 35 years. He taught in several schools in Iowa and North Dakota. Following his retirement, he pursued his passion and became an antique dealer, buying and selling antiques. He also loved his two cats, Bear and Sparkle.
He passed away on August 18, 2017, at the Lakes Regional Healthcare Center in Spirit Lake, Iowa, at the age of 78. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Left to cherish his memory are his four brothers: Larry (Kay) Cook of Milford, IA, Jerry Cook of Adel, IA, Ronnie (Cheryl) Cook of Marion, IA, and Dean (Deb) Cook of Eddyville IA; one sister, Bonnie Lambertus of Sioux Falls, SD; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be held
11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 22, at the Riverside Cemetery in Spencer, Iowa.
