Katherine Elizabeth Brooks

Katherine Elizabeth Brooks, the daughter of George and Myrttle Sargent Vincent was born February 1, 1925 in Mansonville, Quebec, Canada. She attended school in North Troy, VT and graduated from High School in Burlington, VT. Katherine married Lincoln Brooks in North Troy, VT on June 19, 1940. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, and square dancing. Her greatest joy was being with family especially spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Spencer, and was a Catholic Daughters of America member. Katherine passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at Longhouse Residence in Spencer, at the age of 88. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Lincoln, on June 3, 2012; one daughter, Joyce Morse; one son-in-law, Clovis Morse; one granddaughter, Teresa Brooks; and several brothers and sisters. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Lincoln (JoAnn) Brooks of New Port, VT, Roger (Glenda) Brooks of Everly, IA, Marie (Dave) Thomas of Hyde Park, VT, Gary (Alice) Brooks of Yankton, SD, and Sue Groth of Spencer, IA; 9 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Maurice (Gloria) Vincent of North Troy, VT; 2 sisters, Madeline (Darwin) Dingman of North Troy, VT, and Virginia LaMonda of Newport, VT; other relatives; and many friends.
