Kelly Brian Ross

Kelly Brian Ross, the son of Vern and JoAnn (Witt) Ross, was born on April 5, 1962 in Spencer, Iowa. His childhood years were spent in Spencer where he attended school and graduated from Spencer High School in 1980. On March 3, 1981 he entered into the military, serving in the U.S. Marine Corps. While in the service he received the Good Conduct Medal and the Expert Rifle Badge. He was honorably discharged on January 29, 1982. Following the military, he returned to Spencer, where he worked with his dad at Witt Sales. On August 10, 1996, Kelly married Karen LeClair in Spencer, Iowa. Following their marriage, Kelly worked at Sorenson's in Hartley, Demco in Boyden and D&D Construction in Nebraska, before returning to Spencer. Kelly was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and being outdoors, but most of all he loved to spend time with his children and grandchildren. Kelly passed away at his home on May 9, 2006, at the age of 44. He was preceded in death by his mother, JoAnn and his grandmother, Marge Ross. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Karen Ross of Spencer, IA; 5 children: April Ross of South Carolina, Tori Ross of Melvin, IA, Keith Riordan of Spirit Lake, IA, T.J. Connor of Spencer, IA and Cody Connor of Akron, IA; 4 grandchildren: Mackenzie, Gia, Dallas and Evie; his father, Vern Ross of Spencer, IA; 2 brothers: Steven Ross of Storm Lake, IA and Scott Ross of Philadelphia, PA; on sister, Kathy Kunath of Waukee, IA; his best friend, Earl Price; other relatives and many friends.
SERVICES
Memorial Sevices will be held at 10:30a.m., Saturday, May 13, 2006, at the Warner Chapel in Spencer. American Legion - Glen Pedersen Post #1 Spencer, Iowa
