Kenneth Arthur Woodford

Kenneth Arthur Woodford, the son of John Arthur and Mae Elizabeth (Anderson) Woodford, was born on February 4, 1916, on a farm near Webb, Iowa. He spent his childhood years in the Webb area where he received his education, graduating from Garfield Consolidated High School in 1934. Following his schooling, Kenneth began farming. Kenneth married Lois Stoermer on November 21, 1941, in Jackson, Minnesota. Following their marriage, they continued to farm near Webb until their retirement in 1981 when they moved into the town of Webb. Kenneth enjoyed watching TV game shows, baseball and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He had been a resident of Northshire Residence in Spencer since November of 2004. Kenneth passed away at the Spencer Hospital on Monday, March 13, 2006 at the age of 90. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Dale and one sister, Vera Anderson. He is survived by his wife, Lois of Spencer, IA; two daughters: Sharon and her husband, Larry Buettner of Webb, IA and Karen and her husband, Dennis Rutter of Spencer, IA; 7 grandchildren; one great- grandchild; three sisters: Dorothy Weber of Webb, IA, Mary Alexander and her husband, Leo of Spencer, IA, and Eleanor Essick and her husband, Robert of Spencer, IA; one daughter-in-law, Karen Woodford of Spencer, IA; other relatives and many friends.
