Kenneth L. Ebel

February 20, 1961 — June 26, 2016

Kenneth (Kenny) Lloyd Ebel, the son of Ernest and Betty (Dorman) Ebel, was born February 20, 1961, in Spencer, Iowa. Kenny received his education and graduated from Spencer High School in 1979. He spent a majority of his adult life working in construction, specializing in concrete. Kenny lived in various places around the country, settling back in Spencer in 2009. Kenny enjoyed gardening and was an avid fisherman. He also loved his dogs, Boo and Kandy. Kenny liked to watch football, and was a lifelong Denver Broncos fan. Another passion of Kenny's was cooking, and he was never afraid to try a new recipe. Military airplanes were another love of Kenny's, and he recently enjoyed a trip to Fagan Fighters WWII Museum/Airshow in Granite Falls, MN. Kenny passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 26, 2016 at Spencer Hospital after a long, courageous battle with cancer. He is preceded in death by his parents; and a sister Bonnie Harrison. He leaves to mourn his passing, his two daughters Lindsey (Jack) Vittitow and Brittany Ebel of Tucson, AZ; his sisters: Jan (Jim) Rusk of Greenville, IA, Shirley Ebel of Spencer, IA and Jane Ebel of Spencer, IA; a brother, Jerry (Mary Jo) Ebel of Phoenix, AZ; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Abben Cancer Center or Hospice of Spencer Hospital.
