Kenneth R.Woolston

Kenneth Roger Woolston, the son of J. Clair and Florence (Burgeson) Woolston, was born on December 2, 1937 in Sutherland, IA. He began school in Waterman Township and finished high school in Sutherland. He was united in marriage to Evelyn Trost on December 22, 1957 at the EUB Church in Concordia, KS. They made their home northeast of Sutherland for almost fifty years. They were blessed with two children, a daughter and a son. Their love of the land was shown by the fact that they were the fourth generation to farm the century old Woolston farm. Ken was a member and elder of the Maple Grove Church of God of Sutherland. He spent his life serving his Savior and others to the very best of his ability. To him, God came first, then family, farming, neighbors and friends. He enjoyed seeing God make the crops grow and watching the wildlife in God's Creation. He moved on to sing with the heavenly choir on June 16, 2007. Preceding him in death was his father. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Evelyn of Sutherland, IA; one daughter, Tami Martinek and her husband, Wyman of Madrid, IA; one son, Todd Woolston and his wife, Sue of Boone, IA; four grandchildren: Melissa and Mitchell Martinek and Seth and Noah Woolston; his mother, Florence of Spencer, IA. Ken enjoyed the fellowship of his many friends and extended family and will surely be missed.
