Kenneth Warren Andersen

Kenneth Andersen the son of Russell and Gertrude Ball Andersen was born on October 31, 1920 in Denison, Iowa. He grew up on a farm near Deloit, Iowa, as well as farms near Alta and Ringstead. In 1939 he moved to a farm near Webb. Kenneth married Shirley Johnson on September 5, 1945 in Wilmar, Minnesota. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, but most of all spending time with family. He was a trustee of Garfield Township. He farmed in the Webb area until retiring in 1983 and moved to an acreage near Spencer. He also lived in the Sunset Apartments for the last four years. Kenneth passed away on Thursday, September 2, at St. Luke Lutheran Home, at the age of 89. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Clifford Andersen. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Shirley; 2 sons, Michael Andersen of Pocahontas, Iowa, and Jim (Kathi) Andersen of Hinton, Iowa; one daughter, Sharon (Dennis) Halder of Carroll, Iowa; 7 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and many friends.
