Kim Marie Hugunin, 65, was born in Nora Springs, Iowa on May 7, 1959 to Elmo Darrel and Marge (Callahan) Deets. Kim grew up and received her education in Nora Springs in 1977. After high school, Kim then moved to Spencer and in 1988, married Clay Hugunin where they lived on an acreage outside of Dickens for the remainder of their life together.
Kim loved her pets as members of their family. She enjoyed feeding wild birds and stray cats in her time on the acreage. Kim loved her flower garden, where she spent time tending to, that also sported a pond and a waterfall which she was very proud of. Kim also had a very large vegetable garden where she spent many hours taking care of. She was an avid quilter for which she won many ribbons and awards for her talent. Kim had a remarkable gift of gab that everyone around her appreciated. She will be missed by everyone who knew her and loved her.
