Lanny Gene Bevers, the son of Ira and Cleon (Hoover) Bevers, was born on August 9, 1939, in the panhandle of Texas in the town of Sunray. Later the family moved to Fort Worth, TX where Lanny attended school. After high school, he entered into the U.S. Air Force. Lanny married Estlee Townley in Phoenix, AZ. To this union one daughter was born, Lana Jean.
On June 18, 1994, Lanny married Judith (Burger) Triplett in Gillett Grove, Iowa. They made their home in St. Paul, MN. Lanny worked for Bekins, United and Allied Van Lines, retiring from there in 2001, when they moved to Gillett Grove. Lanny was active in the church, he also was a member of the American Movers Association, the American Legion, the Jaycees, and the Elks Lodge. He also served on the Gillett Grove City Council.
Lanny passed away on July 30, 2010, at the Spencer Hospital at the age of 70. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother; Ira Bevers, Jr. and twin sisters: Bobbie Webb and Betty Hodnett.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Judy; daughter, Lana Bevers of Chandler, AZ; stepdaughter, Teresa Triplett of Sutherland, IA; stepson, Ed Triplett, of Scottsdale, AZ; 10 stepgrandchildren; one sister, Jimmi Robb of Tucson, AZ; other relatives and friends.

Memorial Services will be held at 2:00P.M., Saturday, August 14, 2010, at the Community Methodist Church in Gillett Grove, Iowa
