Larry Dean Fuller, the son of William and Melba (Pauling) Fuller, was born on April 10, 1956, in Spencer, IA. He was raised and received his early education here, graduating from Spencer High School. Following graduation, he entered into the military on March 20, 1975, serving in the U.S. Navy. He was honorably discharged on March 19, 1979. After returning, Larry worked for Cleber’s Gas Station for 17 years. He then worked for SMU for 18 years as an operator.
He married Diane Rasmussen on June 13, 1981, in Spencer, Iowa. Following their marriage, the couple lived in Spencer. He continued to work for SMU and eventually worked for Spencer Schools until his retirement.
Larry loved to fish, BBQ, dance, go boating and play jokes on people. He was a Green Bay Packer and Iowa Hawkeye fan and loved to spend time at his cabin in Ruthven.
Larry passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 12, 2018, at the Palo Alto County Hospital in Emmetsburg, at the age of 62. He was preceded in death by his father; his grandmother, Elizabeth Pauling and his grandfather, William Fuller.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Diane of Spencer, IA; his two daughters: Jada Brenner and her husband, David of Los Angeles, CA, and Kaylee Fuller and fiancé, Ryan Green of Spencer, IA; his son, Kellen and his wife, Krista of Grimes, IA; his mother, Melba Fuller of Spencer, IA; his two sisters: Sheryln Benham and her husband, Tom of Sanger, CA and Collette Doeman and her husband, Steve of Lake Oswego, OR; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
