Larry Everett Hagedorn

Larry Everett Hagedorn, the son of Everett and Kathryn Carlson Hagedorn, was born August 5, 1943 in Hartley, Iowa. Larry was raised south of Royal on the family farm and graduated from the Royal High School in 1961. Following his schooling, Larry farmed with his father. Larry married Mary Pitzen and to this union four children were born. Larry farmed and raised livestock until retiring in 1991. He also started his own business in Royal in 1986. In his spare time, Larry enjoyed collecting antique farm equipment, attending auctions and most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Larry passed away on March 29, 2013 at St. Luke Lutheran Home in Spencer at the age of 69. He is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his four children and their spouses: Christopher (Ruth) Hagedorn of Dickens, IA, Angela (Kent) Langholz of Cedar Rapids, IA, Matthew (Anne) Hagedorn of Royal, IA and Joshua (Kristen) Hagedorn of De Soto, IA; his grandchildren: Marcus, John and Tom Hagedorn, Kathryn and Sarah Langholz, Tanner Perrigo, Elizabeth, Mattie and Grace Hagedorn, Joey and Lauren Hagedorn; two sisters: Bonnie (Richard) Jensen of Apple Valley, MN and Dixie (Duane) Petersen of Wichita, KS; other relatives and friends.
