Larry Harlan Classon

Larry Harlan Classon, the son of  and Ida (Theeler) Classon, was born April 7, 1949 in Blue Earth, MN.  His childhood years were spent in Blue Earth, MN until the age of 13, when he joined the circus.  He later joined the Army, where he served during VietNam from 1967 until his honorable discharge in 1973.

     After his discharge from the military, Larry he moved to Muscatine, IA, where he started driving truck for Walmart.  He later moved to Spencer, Iowa in 1990, where he was a long haul truck driver for many years at Husby Trucking.  He met his future wife, Bonnie on Christmas day in 1985 in Massachusetts and they were married on April 7, 1990 in Spencer, Iowa.  He was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Spencer.  In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, ceramic work and creating Native American Art.  Larry also enjoyed animals and children.

    Larry passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2020 from the result of a fire at his residence at the age of 70.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Bonnie.

     He is survived by his three children: Chad (Lottie) Classon  of  Spencer and their children: Damian and Dylan, Tina Rhomberg and her husband, Randy and their children: Arial, Madison and Reina of Knoxville, TN and Ted Classon and his wife, Pamela and their daughter, Faith of Knoxville, TN and his special friends: Jim and Colleen Caskey of Spencer.
