Larry Lee Miller, the son of Vern and Maurine (Brallier) Miller, was born September 12, 1944, in Spencer, IA. His childhood years were spent in the Ruthven area where he received his education at Ruthven Consolidated Schools. Following his schooling, he entered the military and served with the U. S. Marines from April of 1962, during the Vietnam War, until his honorable discharge in October of 1966.
Throughout Larry's adult life, he worked as a truck driver and lived a long time in Spencer, before moving to Everly, IA. He later married Norma Pixler. He was a past member of the Catholic Church and current member of the American Legion.
Larry passed away at the Spencer Hospital on Wednesday, June 27, 2012, at the age of 67. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Craig Miller; one brother, Gary Miller; one grandson and one nephew.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Norma of Spencer, IA; one daughter, Anje Johnson and husband, Darin of Spencer, IA; four grandchildren: Brittany, Julia, Hillary and Makenzie; four stepchildren: Malisa, Shelly, Justin and Corey; two sisters: Rochelle Radley of Everly, IA, and Roxie Miller of Spencer, IA; other relatives and friends.
SERVICES
Funeral services will be held 1:30 P.M., Monday, July 2, 2012 at the Warner Chapel in Spencer.
A military flag presentation will be conducted by Glen Pedersen Post #1 - American Legion of Spencer, Iowa immediately following the funeral services at the funeral home
