Lavon Mildred Hagedorn

LaVon Mildred Hagedorn was born June 26, 1926 in Linn Grove, Iowa to Arnold and Kathryn Runneberg. She graduated from Rossie High School. She married Wesley Hagedorn on February 9, 1944 in Royal. Following their marriage, the couple farmed in the Royal area for 15 years. In 1959, the couple moved to Scottsdale, AZ. The couple lived in Scottsdale until 1964, when they moved to Longmont, Colorado. In 1976, the couple returned to Royal, Iowa, where they lived on the farm until Wesley's death. LaVon returned to Scottsdale, AZ in 1997, where she has maintained residence for the past 20 years. LaVon Mildred Hagedorn, age 90 passed away February 1, 2017 peacefully in her home in Scottsdale, Arizona. LaVon was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley Hagedorn and her brother, Melvin Runneberg. She is survived by her three daughters: Cynthia Bowen and her husband, David of Scottsdale, Arizona, Connie Kennedy and her husband, Jerry of Longmont, Colorado, and Linda Fabrizio of Scottsdale, Arizona; her sister, Marilyn Washburn and her husband, Lloyd of Isle, MN; her sister-in-law, Dorothy Runneberg of Laurens, Iowa; 8 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandson; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
SERVICES
Memorial Services will be 10:30 A.M., March 8, at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Royal.
