Lavonne June Weisbrod

     LaVonne June Weisbrod, the daughter of Leo and Cecelia (Henning) Lenhart was born July 12, 1929 in Hartley, IA. Her childhood years were spent in the Greenville and Rossie, IA area, where she attended school and graduated from Greenville Rossie High School in 1947.

     LaVonne married Victor Weisbrod on February 22, 1948 on Victor’s family farm near Spencer, IA. She worked as a telephone operator after high school and before her marriage. She was the Ward Clerk for Spencer Hospital for 20 years until her retirement. LaVonne enjoyed trips to harbors in Minnesota, playing on the computer, embroidery, going for walks, and especially spending time with her family. She was proud of her singing, winning many awards and would sing at weddings.

     LaVonne passed away on Monday, October 12, 2020 at the Ruthven Care Center, at the age of 91. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one sister, Darlene Snyder; and one great-grandson, Matthew.

     Left to cherish her memory are her 3 children, Dennis (Victoria) Weisbrod of Dickens, IA, Vickie (Randy) Lawrence of Olathe, KS, and Reva Anderson of Emmetsburg, IA; 5 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; other relatives; and many friends.
