Leona Grace Fields

Leona Grace Fields, the daughter of Frank and Rachel Martin Bauman, was born January 12, 1912, in Lake City, Iowa. Her childhood years were spent in Royal, Iowa, where she received her early education and graduated from high school. On November 24, 1943, Leona married Bradley Fields. Following their marriage, they made their home near Royal. Leona was a fulltime babysitter in her home for many years. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Royal and member of the United Methodist Women. In her spare time, Leona enjoyed sewing and spending time with her family and friends. Mrs. Fields passed away on May 18, 2007, at the Longhouse Residence in Spencer, Iowa, at the age of 95. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bradley on February 7, 1966; one brother, Warren Bauman; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild. She is survived by her children: Lowell Fields and his wife, Marilyn of Storm Lake, IA, Linda Nelson and her husband, Robert of Webb, IA, Elaine Ullensvang and partner, Robert Cutsinger of Sacramento, CA, LaVonne Hallberg and her husband, Jeffrey of Norcross, GA and Lynette Whitacre and her husband, Jeffrey of Estherville, IA; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 3 step-great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
SERVICES
Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 21, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Royal, Iowa. Burial will be at 1:00 p.m., Monday, at Riverside Cemetery in Spencer, Iowa.

VISITATION
Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, May 20, at Warner Funeral Home in Spencer, Iowa. The family will be present from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Sunday evening.
