Lexa Marie Zalaznik

Lexa Marie Zalaznik, the daughter of Kent Zalaznik and Yvonne Daugherty, was born June 1, 1980 in Sioux City, IA. Her parents brought her home on November 28, 1980. Lexa's childhood years were spent in Greenville and she attended school at Clay Central and then Spencer, graduating in 1999 with honors. Following graduation, Lexa worked in Spencer for a few years before moving to Sioux Falls where she worked for CitiBank and Mutual of Omaha. Then she transferred to Phoenix, AZ with Wells Fargo for a short time. A job change led her to the Denver, CO area where she worked until moving back to Sioux Falls, SD in January of 2015. Lexa loved animals, especially horses and wolves. Reading was one of her favorite pastimes and she loved to watch movies. Since cooking wasn't her forte', she loved to eat out. Red Lobster, Olive Garden, McDonald's, Hardees and Chinese food were some of her favorites. Lexa passed away on April 9, 2016 in Sioux Falls. She is preceded in death by her grandparents and three aunts. Left to cherish her memory are her father, Kent (Dixie) Zalaznik of Greenville, her mother, Yvonne (Roger) Daugherty of Greenville, and her brother, Luke (Lisa) Zalaznik and their daughter, Mackenzie of Peterson. She is also survived by her step-grandmother, LeAnn Zalaznik, six step-brothers and three step-sisters, aunts, uncles and many cousins.
