Lillian Ann Schmidt

Lillian Ann Schmidt, the daughter of Thoral and Lois (Flint) All was born March 2, 1933 in Andrew, IA. Her childhood years were spent in the Greenville and Rossie, IA area where she graduated from Greenville Rossie High School in 1951. Lillian married Walter Schmidt on May 18, 1958 in Spencer, IA. They made their home in Spencer, IA where she worked for Clay County National Bank for 41 years and then Farmers Bank for 5 years until her retirement in 1998. Lillian enjoyed traveling, Co-Ed volleyball, bowling, playing cards, doing crafts, and especially spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, taught Sunday School, member of the church finance board, BPW, and helped with Meals on Wheels. She was also part of the Clay Co. Cancer Association and a board member of the Senior Center. Lillian passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at the Ruthven Care Center in Ruthven, IA at the age of 82. She was preceded in death by her parents. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Walter of Spencer, IA; 2 children, Timothy (Jan) Schmidt of Pleasanton, CA and Lois White of Steamboat Springs, CO; 4 grandchildren, Ashley, Allison, Quintin, and Simone; one sister, Mary Sonius of Okoboji, IA; one brother Thoral Jr. (Nancy) All of Ft. Worth, TX; other relatives; and many friends.
