Linda Marie Carlson

Linda Marie Carlson, the daughter of William and Dora (Allwine) Pratt, Sr., was born August 5, 1943 in Omaha, NE. Her childhood years were spent near Omaha, in Ft. Calhoun, NE. She graduated from Pratt High School in 1961. After high school, she worked at Clarkson Hospital as a ward clerk until 1965.
Linda moved to Spencer, Iowa in 1965 and stayed at home to raise her children. Her passion was taking care of people and she worked in the home health industry for several years. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Spencer and was a longtime volunteer for Red Cross with the bloodmobile. Linda loved to spend time at the lakes boating and swimming and she spent many summers at the lakes at her grandparents' cottage. She also enjoyed bingo.
She passed away at the Laurens Care Center in Laurens, Iowa on Thursday, September 24, 2015 at the age of 72. Linda was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, William Pratt, Jr.
Left to cherish her memory are her children: Dan Carlson of Sioux Falls, SD, Mike Carlson and his wife, Darlene of Spencer and Lisa Carlson of Sioux Falls, SD; 7 grandchildren: Natalie, Ashley, Alex, Blake, McKenzi, Maddi and Zoe; two great grandchildren: A.J and Annabelle; other relatives and many friends.
SERVICES
Funeral Services will be held 10:30 A.M., Monday, September 28, 2015 at Grace United Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers, a Memorial Fund has been established in Memory of Linda.

Visitation will begin at 2:00pm on Sunday with the family present from 2:00 to 4:00pm at Warner Funeral Home in Spencer.
