Lois Louise (Schoenewe) Selzer, 78, died at the North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley, CO, on November 5, 2009. Lois was born March 6, 1931 in Clay County, Iowa. Lois was raised in the Peterson and Everly, Iowa area by her mother, Katherine (Schoelerman) Schoenewe. Lois graduated in Everly High School's class of 1948.
Lois met Kenneth Selzer while she worked as a waitress at Robert's Caf� in Everly. Lois and Ken were married on January 28, 1950 in Tama, Iowa. Lois and Ken lived their early married years in Everly and and eventually built their first home just outside of Spencer. Lois worked as a homemaker and caretaker of their three children and was a member of Hope Lutheran Church in Everly. Ken and Lois moved several times in the 1970's, living in the cities of Greendale, WI; Schuyler, NE; Greeley, CO and finally settling in Windsor, CO.
Lois was preceded in death by her mother and brother, Bob Schoenewe. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Kenneth of Windsor, CO; her children: son, Kenneth James (Jim) of Haddonfield, NJ; daughter, Judy Aikin and her husband, Terry of Des Moines, IA and son Jerry and his wife, Jacqueline of Windsor, CO; her two grand children: Maddy and Katie Selzer of Windsor CO: other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers memorials will be given to the Women's Shelter in Greeley, CO
SERVICES
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, November 13, 2009 at Oakland Cemetery in Peterson, Iowa.

Visitation will begin at Noon on Thursday, November 12, at Warner Funeral Home in Spencer, Iowa. The family will be present from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Thursday evening.
