Lola Belle Taylor

July 6, 1924 — December 9, 2008

Lola Belle Taylor, the daughter of George and Florence (Burwell) Essick, was born on July 6, 1924, in Webb, Iowa. She received her early education attending schools in the Webb, Gillett Grove and Dickens area. Lola married Roy Taylor on September 27, 1943 in Dickens, Iowa. Following their marriage, they farmed east and south of Dickens. Lola was a member and very active in the Dickens United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Farm Bureau and a past member of the Eagle's. Lola enjoyed crafts and sewing. On December 9, 2008, Lola passed away at the Northshire Residence in Spencer, at the age of 84. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son, Roger; her grandson, Jarrod; nine sisters and one brother. Left to cherish her memory are her brother, Ron Essick of Spencer, IA; her daughter-in-law, Kathy Taylor of Spencer, IA; her sister-in-law, Irene Garness of Estherville, IA; a very special ex sister-in-law, Sharon Essick of Spencer, IA; other relatives and friends.

VISITATION

A public gathering will begin at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, with the family present from 2:00-4:00 P.M., Saturday afternoon at Warner Funeral Home in Spencer.
