Lonnie Lee Fahlenkamp

Lonnie Lee Fahlenkamp, the son of Joe and Viola (Otto) Fahlenkamp, was born on July 30, 1946, in Hartley, Iowa. He was raised and received his early education there graduating from Hartley High School. After graduation, he attended college in Estherville and then Mankato State. On November 27, 1967, Lonnie entered in the military, serving in the United States Navy. He was honorably discharged on November 26, 1973. On July 28, 1971, Lonnie married Mary Ann Thoreson. To this union two children were born: Heather and Paige. The couple lived on a farm just south of Spencer. They later divorced. Lonnie passed away at his home on July 29, 2011. He was preceded in death by his parents and twin brother, Lannie. Left to cherish his memory are his two daughters: Heather Gentry and her husband, Jason of Gaffney, SC and Paige Tait and her husband, Mike of Bella Vista AR; two grandchildren: Madisyn Grace Gentry and Zachery Sage Tait; one sister, Jolene Zimmer-Feuerborn and her husband, Ken of Palatine, IL; one brother, Terry Fahlenkamp and his wife, June of Moline, IL; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
