Lora Lena Kisch, the daughter of Fred and Mina (Rabe) Hanselman, was born April 25, 1911 in West Bend, Iowa. Her childhood years were spent in West Bend, where he received her education. She was baptized and confirmed at the Peace Lutheran Church in West Bend. Following her schooling, she remained in West Bend.
Lora married Wendell Kisch on July 10, 1948 in West Bend. Following their marriage, they lived for a short time in West Bend, before moving to Spencer, Iowa, where they made their home. Lora worked at Spencer Hospital in the housekeeping department for 22 � years, until her retirement her retirement in August of 1987. She was a member of First English Lutheran Church in Spencer. Lora enjoyed gardening up until the time of her death.
Mrs. Kisch passed away at her home in Spencer on Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at the age of 100. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wendell Kisch on April 4, 1964; 5 brothers: Leo, George, John, William and Alvin Hanselman and 3 sisters-in-law, Grace, Florence and Leota Hanselman.
Left to cherish her memory are one sister-in-law, Retta Hanselman of West Bend; other relatives and friends.
SERVICES
Funeral services will be held 10:30 A.M., Saturday, January 28, 2012 at the Warner Chapel in Spencer.
