Louie Remillard

Louie was born on May 26, 1927 in Hartley, IA, the youngest of four children, to Napoleon and Mabel ReMillard. He attended school in Hartley and graduated in 1945. Louie served in the Merchant Marines and U.S. Army. He was united in marriage to Marcella Kriens in 1951 and raised four children. Louie and Marcella owned and operated dry cleaning businesses in Hartley and Spencer. Eventually they opened a dry cleaning business in Tempe, AZ after moving there in 1975 and later a men's clothing store in Scottsdale, AZ. Louie passed away peacefully on October 25, 2012 in Gilbert, AZ at the age of 85. He was a beloved husband, father and grandfather who was devoted to his family all of his life. He had a kind and quiet demeanor and was inspirational in many ways. Left to cherish his memory are his three daughters; Vicki Fitzloff (Frank), Becky Lewis (Chuck), Marci Matt (Bill), grandchildren Ryan Fitzloff (Rochelle), Hilary Fitzloff, Ashley Gromman (Travis), Haley Matt, great grandchildren Mallory and Audrey Fitzloff, sister June Trojahn and sister-in-law Orpha Kriens, many nieces, nephews and numerous friends. Louie is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Marcella, one sister and brother, his son Reggie and grandson Joshua Lewis.
