Louise Mae Zieman

Louise Mae Zieman, the daughter of Henry and Mabel Peterson Gross, was born May 2, 1923 near Royal, Iowa. Her childhood years were spent in the Royal area, where she received her early education. After graduating from Royal High School, she attended and graduated from A.I.B. in Des Moines. Following her schooling, she worked as a stenographer in Spencer. Louise married Paul Zieman on October 5, 1940 in Trenton, Missouri. They farmed near Royal for over 50 years. Louise was a member of the St. Louis Catholic Church and the Altar Society of Royal. She was a member of the Spencer Hospital Auxiliary for many years. Louise was also a volunteer at the hospital gift shop for 18 years. She also enjoyed her flowers. Louise passed away at Longhouse Residence in Spencer, Iowa on Sunday, August 20, 2006 at the age of 83. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Dorothy and her son, Rick. She is survived by her husband, Paul of Royal; two daughters: Jill and her husband, Robert Branch of Chilton, WI and Pam and her husband, Dennis Ferguson of Rochester, MN; 7 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
SERVICES
Funeral sevices will be held at 10:00a.m., Wednesday, August 23, 2006, at the St. Louis Catholic Church in Royal, Iowa.

VISITATION
Visitation will begin after 2:00p.m., Tuesday, with the family present from 6:00 - 8:00p.m., Tuesday evening at the funeral home in Spencer. There will be a Catholic Vigil Service at 6:00p.m., at the funeral home.

Riverside Cemetery in Spencer, Iowa
