Lowell Eugene Dykshoorn

February 8, 1928 — May 25, 2013

Lowell Eugene Dykshoorn, the son of Abe and Alice Dykshoorn was born February 8, 1928 in Corsica, SD. His childhood years were spent in the Corsica area where he attended school. Lowell married Nell Dekker and to this marriage 3 children were born. He owned and operated Lindsay Water Softner Company. Lowell enjoyed talking to people, fixing things, and especially spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was also a member of Hope Reformed Church in Spencer. Lowell passed away on Saturday, May 25, 2013 at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD, at the age of 85. He was preceded in death by his daughter Cheryl Buren; son-in-law Byron Roos; his parents; an infant brother and his brother, Howard Dykshoorn. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Nell of Spencer, IA; daughter Marcia Roos of Sheldon, IA; son Rick (Karen) Dykshoorn of Spirit Lake, IA; Gary Huberg of Royal, IA; 6 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; brother, Don (Jan) Dykshoorn of Sheldon, IA; other relatives and many friends.

SERVICES

Funeral services will take place 1:30 P.M., Wednesday, May 29, at Hope Reformed Church in Spencer.
