Lowell Vernon Elliott

Lowell Vernon Elliott, the son of Frank and Clara Ramsey Elliott, was born January 3, 1920 in Spencer, Iowa. His childhood years were spent in the Greenville/Rossie area, where he received his education. On April 9, 1939, Lowell was united in marriage to Blanche Skinner in Papillion, NE. Following their marriage, they lived in Everly, Spencer, and Royal, before moving to Arnold's Park, IA. Throughout his married life, Lowell worked at the gas company for 24 years, until his retirement. Following their retirement, they moved to Yreka, CA, where they spent 14 years. They returned to Milford for a short time before moving back to Spencer in 1998. Lowell passed away at the Spencer Hospital on Thursday, February 4, 2010 at the age of 90. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Blanche on November 16, 2007; one daughter, Jeanine Reed; two sisters: Louise and Enid; one brother, Thomas; and one grandson. Left to cherish his memory are three daughters: Joyce (Gene) Hallof Dickens, IA, Jennafer (Robert) Petersen of Okoboji, IA, and Jerree (Ross) Orr of Hornbrook, CA; 11 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
