Lowene Belva Gray, the daughter of David and Ilo (Watson) Brallier, was born on June 12, 1923 in Greenville, IA. She received her early education in Greenville and then attended and graduated from high school in Lake Center, south of Terril, IA.
On November 28, 1942, Lowene married Richard Gray in Spencer, IA. Following their marriage, the couple lived in the communities of Ruthven, Royal, and Graettinger before moving to Spencer in 1963. Lowene worked as a waitress at Mathison's and then she was a bookkeeper at Spencer Truck Line in which they owned and operated. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic and a Women's Bowling League. Lowene liked to go fishing and camping, play cards and bingo. Lowene loved to spend time with and baby-sit her grandkids. She enjoyed watching basketball and baseball. She was an avid Twins and Timberwolves fan and also liked to watch the Chicago Bulls.
Lowene passed away on December 14, 2008, at the Spencer Hospital at the age of 85. She was preceded in death by her parents; her grandson, Joshua Galm; two brothers: Keith and Fred Brallier and two sons-in-law, Terry Galm and Doug Lachner.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Richard Gray of Fostoria, IA; her children: Sharon Ann Lachner Burgeson and her husband, Richard of Milford, IA, Richard David Gray and his wife, Monika of Dickens, IA, Janet Marie Galm and Jim Ransom of Royal, IA and Terry John Gray and his wife, Lori of Arnolds Park, IA; 8 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; two sisters: Maurine Willard of Apache Junction, AZ, Norene Broadie and her husband, Bob of Ruthven, IA; other relatives and friends.
SERVICES
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30a.m., Wednesday, December 17, 2008, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Spencer.

VISITATION
Visitation will begin after 12noon on Tuesday, with the family present from 6:00 - 8:00p.m., Tuesday evening at the funeral home. There will be a vigil service at 5:30p.m., Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
