Lucille Irene Ollinger, the daughter of Guy and Mildred (Flipsey) Parks, was born on August 30, 1921, in Dickens, IA. She was raised and received her early education in Clay County by attending Harmony Country School and then Gillett Grove High School.
On November 27, 1944, Lucille married Raymond Ollinger in Spencer, IA. Following their marriage, they lived on farms and were lifetime residents of Clay County. Lucille was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Lincoln Willing Workers. She enjoyed crocheting, reading and flowers.
Following Raymond's death in 1980, she married Melvin Gunnerson on September 16, 1983, in Spencer, IA. Following their marriage, they continued to live on her farm.
She passed away on Monday, April 23, 2012, at St. Luke Lutheran Home in Spencer at the age of 90. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Raymond and 2nd husband, Melvin; one son, Dwayne Eugene; three sisters: Charlene Walton, Wava Dailey and Margaret Kobold; and two brothers: Harold and Leslie Parks.
Left to cherish her memory are her, 3 daughters: Carol Johnson and her husband, David of Linn Grove, IA, Karen Jatho and her husband, Alan of Hartley, IA, and Anita Sponheim and her husband, Wayne of Osage, IA; 8 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; one brother, Frank Parks and his wife, Bernice of Spencer, IA; and one sister, Loretta Parks of Fort Dodge, IA; other relatives and friends.
SERVICES
Funeral Services will be held 10:30 A.M., Thursday, April 26, 2012 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Spencer.
