Luella Adeline Huckfelt, the daughter of Milford and Lenora (Miller) Crawford, was born July 25, 1927 in Canton, SD. Her childhood years were spent in Canton, where she received her education, graduating from Canton High School. She was a member of the Lutheran Church while living in Canton.
Luella married Donald Francis Huckfelt on September 5, 1948 in Fairview, SD. After their marriage, they lived in Canton until 1960, when they moved to Vermillion, SD. In 1963, they moved to Spencer due to Donald's job. While in Spencer, they raised their family and Luella sold Avon for over 30 years. She also worked at Western Union and Farm Bureau. Luella also helped at the Clay County Fair for a number of years. Throughout the years, she was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church in Spencer. Family was very important to Luella. She was always very kind and considerate and put others first. Her grandkids were always her pride and joy. Her 89th birthday was a great day for Luella, having her family with her to celebrate. She also enjoyed flowers, gardening, attending her grandchildren's activities, dancing, playing cards and going on family vacations.
She passed away at St. Luke Lutheran Home in Spencer, Iowa on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at the age of 89. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald in 2009; a son, Steven in 2008 and her brothers: Nelmar, Melvin, Loren and Everett.
Left to cherish her memory are her children: Jeffrey (Jackie) Huckfelt, Randal (Peggy) Huckfelt, Cynthia (Mark) Hinton all of Spencer and Regan (Tammy) Huckfelt of Marion, IA; 10 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; one sister, Ila Torkelson of Canton, SD; other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will 10:30A.M., Wednesday, August 10, at the Faith Lutheran Church in Spencer.
