Mae Sophie Pearson, the daughter of Elmer and Anna (Menke) Mugge, was born June 12, 1924 in O'Brien County, Iowa. Her childhood years were spent in Calumet, Iowa, where she received her education, graduating from Calumet High School.
Mae married Lester Pearson on April 16, 1945 in Cherokee, Iowa. Following their marriage, they farmed north of Hartley, Iowa for six years before moving to Everly in 1952 and later to Fostoria in 1971. They retired and moved to Spencer in 1978. They lived at the lakes from 1987 until moving back to Spencer in 1995. While living in Everly, she was an active member of Hope Lutheran Church. Mae enjoyed her free time playing cards, dancing, golfing, fishing, cooking and baking for family and friends. She also enjoyed watching the Minnesota Twins and Hawkeye Basketball and was a frequent visitor of the casinos.
Mae passed away at Northshire Residence in Spencer on Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at the age of 85. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lester on October 12, 1995; a daughter, Vicki; an infant son and a brother, Harold Mugge.
She is survived by one daughter and her husband, Karla and Bob Eberly of Minnetona, MN; two grandsons: Scott Eberly of Los Angeles, CA and Matthew and his wife, Jenni Eberly of Elk River, MN; two brothers: Dalton Mugge and his wife, Verna of Okoboji, IA, Arlo "Ozzie" Mugge and his wife, Darline of Montrose, CO and Mesa, AZ; a sister-in-law, Emma Pearson of Everly; two brothers-in-law: Don and his wife, Marleen Pearson of Everly, IA and Marvin Pearson of Primghar, IA; several of her Golfview family; other relatives and friends.
SERVICES
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00P.M., Saturday, May 8, 2010, at the Hope Lutheran Church in Everly. There will be a lunch served right after the service before going to the cemetery.

Visitation will begin after 3:00P.M., Friday, with the family present from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M., Friday evening at the Warner Funeral Home in Everly.
