Marcella Mccord

Marcella Marie McCord, the daughter of Louis and Evelyn (Kelsey) Vodraska was born January 3, 1943 in Pocahontas, IA. Her childhood years were spent in the Pocahontas area. Marcella moved to Fostoria in 1967 & resided there until 2013 when she moved to the Sunset Apartments in Spencer. Marcella worked at Stubs in Spencer where she made pies. She then worked at the Wonder Whip in Fostoria for 23 years. When the Wonder Whip closed she drove the Spencer cab until her retirement. Marcella enjoyed playing bingo and cards, talking on the phone, and going dancing. Her biggest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandkids, Amber and Nathan. She was a member of the Eagle's Club and the Methodist Church in Fostoria, IA. Marcella was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Daniel; and 2 infant siblings. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Connie (Ted) Bjorklund of Spencer, IA; 2 grandchildren, Nathan Bjorklund of Spencer, IA and Amber (Seth) Hobson of Hartley, IA; 3 great grandchildren, Ava, Oliver, and Carter; 4 brothers, Tom, Francis, Larry, and Joe Vodraska; 3 sisters, Bernadine Reis, Pat Jensen, and Katherine Fitzgerald; many nieces and nephews; other relatives; and MANY friends.
