Margaret Jeanne Gould

August 31, 1926 — December 30, 2014

Margaret Jeanne Gould, the daughter of Theron Franklin Peel and Ona Belle Marsh Peel, was born August 31, 1926 in Sibley, Iowa. She received her early education in Sibley and graduated in 1944. Following high school, Margaret attended Northwest Bible School for 3 years and then Northwestern College in Orange City graduating in 1963. Margaret married Jay Gould on May 24, 1953, in Sibley, Iowa. Following their marriage, she taught in the communities of Ellsworth, MN, Spencer School and for 23 years for Head Start. Margaret was a very active member of the First Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School, held various offices and attended Bible Studies. She was also a member of the Garden Club. In her spare time, Margaret enjoyed reading, entertaining and studying the Bible. Margaret passed away on December 30, 2014, at the Boone County Hospital in Boone, IA at the age of 88. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jay; son Richard; sisters: Ruth Franklin and Dorothy Bean and her brother Richard Peel. She is survived by 4 sons: Dan (Linda) Gould of Boone, IA, Bill (Beth) Gould of Apple Valley, MN, Brad (Patti) Gould of Cincinnati, OH and Doug Gould of Boone, IA; one daughter-in-law, Beth (Andy) Kilpatrick of Hewitt, TX; eleven grandchildren: Rachel (Cory) Glenn, Laura (Max) Desruisseaux, Mallory Gould, Billy (Katie) Gould, Tim Gould, Tom (Allison) Gould, Christina Gould, Melissa (Tom) Doyle, Josh Gould, Sarah Gould and Richie Gould; great grandchildren: Tommy, Ella Easton, Liam and Isaac; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
SERVICES
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, January 2, 2015 at First Baptist Church in Spencer.
