Margaret Joan "Jo" Warren, the daughter of Edgar "Ed" and Ida Marie (Perkins) Burke, was born July 23, 1930 in Sheldon, Iowa. Her family moved to Cherokee when she was 3 years old, where she received her education, graduating from Cherokee High School.
Jo married Gordon Warren on August 1, 1953 in Cherokee, Iowa.. Following their marriage, they lived in Sutherland, Iowa. Her main occupation was a homemaker and she took care of her family throughout their childhood years. She worked as a data processor for the 9 years, they resided in Florida. Jo also worked as a head cook at Millie's Rest Home for 7 � years. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Sutherland, where she was active in bible study. Jo was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Sutherland.
Jo passed away at the Baum-Harmon Mercy Hospital in Primghar, Iowa on Sunday, September 21, 2008 at the age of 78 with her family at her side. Preceding her in death were her parents and her husband, Gordon in 1998.
Left to cherish her memory are her children: Larry Warren and his wife, Patricia of Orange Park, FL, Sharon Boles and her husband, Russell of Primghar, IA, Robert Warren and his wife, Nancy of Spencer, IA and Deborah "Deb" Crouch and her husband, Virgil of Primghar, IA; 7 grandchildren: Shawn Warren and Jenny, Shane Warren and his wife, Holly, Jason Boles and his wife, Drea, Jennifer Furler and her husband, Jason, Amber Warren, Ryan Warren and Cory Crouch and his wife, Elyse; 7 great grandchildren; one sister, Barbara McRae of Jacksonville, FL; other relatives and many friends.
SERVICES
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, September 24, 2008 at the Church of Christ in Sutherland, Iowa.
