Margaret Lundquist

Margaret Maxine Lundquist, the daughter of George and Flossie (Faulkner) Franklin, was born April 12, 1917 in Spencer, Iowa where she received her early education. She passed away on July 1, 2017 at the Spencer Hospital at the age of 100. On August 11, 1935, she married the love of her life, Gerald Lundquist. Gerald and Margaret were married for 70 years before Gerald passed away in November of 2005. Gerald built Margaret a home in Spencer where they lived and raised their family. Margaret remained in her home until January 2016 when she then moved to Riverview Terrace assisted living until she passed away. Margaret loved being a homemaker and taking care of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Everyone has great memories of her love to each and every one of them. She loved baking all of her special treats which each person had their favorites (which she kept track of) and always had them ready whenever she knew they would be coming to visit. Margaret and Gerald enjoyed traveling to many different places throughout their marriage. Left to cherish her memory is one son, Gary Lundquist of Spencer; daughter-in-law, Cindy Lundquist of Rochester, MN; two daughters: Jeanne Petersen (Gordon) of Huxley, IA and Connie Huberg (Roger) of Royal, IA; 10 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Richard Lundquist; sister, Marie Penn Peterson; two foster brothers, Calvin and Lee Santage.
