Marguerite Mae Winthers

April 20, 1921 — March 6, 2011

Marguerite 'Daisy' Mae Winthers, the daughter of Fred and Madeline Rushinberg Loehr, was born April 20, 1921, in Harlan, Iowa. Daisy received her early education and graduated from the Kirkman High School in 1939. She then attended Buena Vista College in Storm Lake. Daisy married Raymond Sherman Winthers on November 17, 1941, in Papillion, NE. Following their marriage, they farmed near Webb. Daisy worked as a bookkeeper and clerk at Penney's in Storm Lake. Mrs. Winthers passed away on March 6, 2011, at the Spencer Hospital at the age of 89. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Raymond on December 22, 1984, a brother and a granddaughter. Daisy is survived by her three daughters: Barbara McDonough of Spencer, Debra Medema and her husband, Paul of Spencer and Sherry Maurer and her husband Gail of Sutherland, IA; one son, James and his wife, JoAnn of Rolfe, IA; 9 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

SERVICES

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30am on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at the Warner Chapel in Spencer.
