Marie Cecelia Miller

April 6, 1915 — December 1, 2014

Marie Cecelia Miller, the daughter of Jacob and Celia (Paulson) Johnson, was born April 6, 1915 in Estherville, Iowa. Her childhood years were spent in Estherville, where she received her education, graduating from Estherville High School. Marie married Jack Pershing Miller on November 16, 1941 in Estherville, IA. After their marriage, Marie and Jack operated the Miller Hamburger Shop for 42 years. She later worked at Bjornstad Drug for 18 years, until her retirement in 1990. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Spencer. She passed away at Northshire Residence in Spencer, Iowa on Monday, December 1, 2014 at the age of 99. Marie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jack; a sister, H. Maxine Hansen and a niece, Cathy Hansen. Left to cherish her memory is a special family friend, Roberta Cate of Spencer; other distant relatives and friends.

SERVICES

Graveside services will be held 10:30 A.M., Thursday, December 4, 2014 at the Riverside Cemetery in Spencer.
