Marilyn Janice Pearson 'Tootie'

October 14, 1932 — June 25, 2017

Marilyn Janice Pearson (Tootie) was born October 14, 1932 on the family farm in Everly Iowa to John B. and Jennie (Reents) Geerdes. Died June 25, 2017 at the age of 84 at the Hartley Community Memorial Health Center, Hartley Iowa. Marilyn attended Everly school. Married Everett F. Pearson on June 22, 1949. Blessed with four children. Everett and Marilyn farmed for many years until retired in 2001. Marilyn also sold World Book Encyclopedias for many years and was prone to stop and chat with any one she met, whether she knew them or not. She was a long time member of First English Lutheran Church of Spencer Iowa. She was survived by daughters Glenda Faas of Sanborn, Iowa, Shirley (Dean) Rohrbaugh of Omaha Nebraska. Sons Loren (Sandy) Pearson of Storm Lake, Iowa and Lloyd (Joyce) Pearson of Spencer, Iowa. Grandchildren Mark Rohrbaugh, Melissa Lindberg, Shannon Geisinger, Angela TeKippe, Patrick Pearson, Jennie Hartz, Shane Pearson and April Sewell. Twelve great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends. Brothers Edwin (Ellen) Geerdes, Harlan (Billie) Geerdes. Sister Janet (Arlyn) Will. Sisters in Law Vera Davis, Shy Pearson and Joyce Pearson. Proceeded in death by her husband Everett, parents John and Jennie Geerdes, brother Bernard Geerdes, sister Doris Wiemers. Sister in Law Irene Geerdes, Brothers in Law Louis (Bud) Wiemers, Curtis Pearson and Allen Pearson.

SERVICES

Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, June 30, 2017 at First English Lutheran Church in Spencer. In lieu of flowers, Memorials to Camp Okoboji or Mission Centeral
