Marilyn Kay Wilson

Marilyn Kay Wilson, the daughter of Leo and Mabel Maxine (Koppelman) Rutledge, was born November 18, 1950 in Lake City, IA. Her childhood years were spent on a farm between Rockwell City and Lake City, IA, before her family moved to Dayton, IA. Her family later moved to Lake Mills, IA, where she attended country schools. Her family moved to a farm northeast of Spencer in the Langdon area, where she attended Meadow Township Millimen country school northeast of Spencer. Marilyn graduated from Spencer High School in 1969. Following her schooling, she worked at St. Luke Lutheran Home in Spencer, the Milford Nursing Center as a nurse's aide and for 13 years she worked in the kitchen at the Spencer Hospital. Marilyn married Keith Lester Wilson on June 15, 1991 at the Excelsior United Methodist Church in rural Milford. Following their marriage, they lived on a farm near Milford, Iowa. She also worked with her mother at the Senior Center in Spencer. She enjoyed painting and shopping for ceramics in her spare time. Marilyn also enjoyed gardening, raising her flowers and working on Family Genealogy while her health permitted her to do so. She was a member of the Everly United Methodist Church as well as the Eagle's Club in Spencer. Marilyn passed away at the Longhouse Residence in Spencer, Iowa on Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at the age of 59. She was preceded in death by her parents. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Keith of Milford; one brother, Dennis and his wife, Karen Rutledge of Spencer; one sister, Sheryl and her husband, Lonn Engler of Hackensack, MN; other relatives and many friends.
SERVICES
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 19 at the United Methodist Church in Everly, Iowa.

VISITATION
Visitation with the family present will be from 5-7:00 p.m., Sunday evening, July 18 at Warner Funeral Home in Spencer, Iowa.

INTERMENT
Private burial will be held prior to the memorial service at Fairview Cemetery in Langdon, Iowa
