Marjorie Ann Quist

Marjorie Ann (Faulkner) Quist, the daughter of Gerald and Golda (Hupp) Faulkner was born on February 19, 1936 in Spencer, Iowa.  Her childhood years were spent in Spencer where she received her education.  Following her schooling, she worked at Stubs House of Plenty for several years and worked at Longhouse/Northshire in the laundry department until she retired. 

     She married Robert Quist, Sr. on September 20, 1953 at the Baptist Church in Spencer, Iowa.  She enjoyed playing cards, camping, spending time with her children and grandchildren, sitting on her front porch visiting with her neighbors.

     Marjorie passed away at Spencer Hospital on Friday, February 23, 2018 at the age of 82.  She was proceeded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Quist, Sr., 2 sons: Robert Quist, Jr., and Steven Quist; 2 daughters: Sandra Conover and Renee Quist Lyman; 2 sisters: Shirley Faulkner and Colleen Smith; 4 brothers: Floyd, Warren, Joe and Darrel Faulkner.

     She is survived by 2 daughters: DeAnn (Quist) Johnson and her husband, Jim of Royal, IA and Barbara (Quist) Bates and her husband, Tim of Spencer, IA; daughter-in-law, Glenda Quist of Spencer, IA; sister, Bessie Orlando of Detroit, MI; grandchildren, great grandchildren: 2 sisters-in-law: Wilma and Iva Faulkner; other relatives and many friends; along with Lisa Te Velde and family of Hull, IA and Terry Hawk of Spencer; her baby dog, Morgan.
