Marjorie Marie Hale

November 6, 1929 — October 15, 2007

Marjorie Marie Hale, was born the daughter of Marvin and Lillie Christensen Nelsen on November 6, 1929 in Cass County, near Anita, Iowa. She spent her early grades in a rural school in the Anita area and moved with her family to a farm north of Ruthven at the age of 8. There she finished her grade school and attended Lake Center School High School. On September 4, 1946, she married Wayne Rouse of Ruthven and to this union was born three children: Harlan, Connie, and Kathy. Marjorie worked at the Power Caf� in Ruthven for several years where she made many friends. Later worked for National in Spencer and J.C. Penney. In 1971, she married Clyde Hale and they made their home in Spencer where she continued to work for JC Penney until she retired in 1991. Marjorie was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church. She enjoyed doing crafts and spending time with her family. On October 15, 2007, Marjorie passed away at Longhouse Residence at the age of 77. Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Clyde in 2006; her brothers, Ronald & Leland Nelsen; one grandson, Kevin Locker and one step-granddaughter, Stacy Goth. Survivors include Harlan (Katie) Rouse, Connie (Ed) Locker, Kathy (Bernard) Olberding; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; four step-children, Shannon Goth, Danny Hale, Shawn Hale, Ryan Hale, and their families; six step grandchildren; brothers: Harold Nelsen, Danny Nelsen; sister, Norma Dotson and Stella Stahly.
SERVICES
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Thursday, October 18, 2007, at the Grace United Methodist Church in Spencer.

VISITATION
Visitation will begin after 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, with the family present from 6:00 - 8:00p.m., Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
