Mark Langholz

Mark Henry Langholz, the son of Lyle and Marlys Camarigg Langholz, was born August 2, 1952 in Primghar, Iowa. He received his early education and graduated from the Primghar High School. Following his schooling, Mark continued his education at Northwestern Community College in Sheldon. Mark married Susan Schoof on July 2, 1985 in Spencer, Iowa. Following their marriage, they made their home in Spencer where Mark was employed at Graham Tire, Arnold Motor and Clay Contractors. For the past twelve years Mark was a valued employee for the City of Spencer as a mechanic. In his spare time, Mark was involved in a 4-Wheeling Club, Little Sioux OHV Club and Iowa Great Lakes Club, Pheasants 4 Ever, and the Buchridge Bow Hunters Club. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding motorcycles, ATV's and supporting his children's hobbies. Mark passed away on May 27, 2011 with his family by his side at home at the age of 58. He is preceded in death by his father, Lyle; brother, Steve; maternal grandparents, Chris and Amanda Camarigg; paternal grandparents, Hy and Hilda Langholz and father-in-law, Leonard Schoof. He is survived by his wife, Sue of Spencer; his children: Shane of Milford, Tammy of Sioux Falls, SD and Travis of Spencer; his mother, Marlys Langholz of Spencer; 3 brothers: Rick of Sioux Center, Neil of Canadaque, NY and Eric of Spencer; 3 sisters: Patsy Carmen of Phoenix, AZ, Mary Jo Valentine of Pagosa Springs, CO and Lori Lynn Ahrends of Council Bluffs, IA; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.
SERVICES
Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, June 4, 2011 at the Grace United Methodist Church in Spencer. The family would like to invite everyone to join them at Stolley's Park following the Memorial Service for a time of fellowship and luncheon.
