Marlene Catherine Garot

Marlene Catherine Garot, the daughter of Arnold Paul Kreutzberg and Dolores Kreutzberg, was born March 2, 1937 and went to be with the Lord on April 29, 2016. She is survived by her estranged husband, Richard Garot, her five children: Christina Garot, Paul Garot, Connie Page, Cari (Jim) Bizzell and Cathy (Bill) Krausert, 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and one grandson. She was born and raised in St. Louis, MO by her father who was a merchant Marine and her mother a hostess, along with many wonderful Cousins. They moved to Ohio where she graduated in 1955 from Chillicothe High School. They later moved to California where she raised 5 children and worked as professional secretary for various companies like TRW and was a long time employee of the San Bernardino School District. Marlene loved John Wayne, Mickey Mouse, Coca Cola and the Beach. She is remembered by her friends and family for her fun sayings and her giving open spirit. She retired to Iowa to be near her son and lived out the rest of her life surrounded by some of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. A private service was held to honor her life.
