Marvin Schumann, the son of Richard and Katherine Zehms Schumann, was born February 8, 1936 in Cole Camp, MO. His childhood years were spent in Manson, Iowa where he received his early education and graduated from high school. Following his schooling, Marv entered the United States Army on March 1, 1955 and served as a Private until his honorable discharge on February 28, 1963.
Marv married Margaret Ann Reynolds on November 17, 1957 in Rockwell City, Iowa. Following their marriage, they made their home in Manson where he owned a bowling ally. He also worked construction and later for Feed Fortifiers in Manson. He moved to Spencer in 1972. He worked at Spencer Vet Supply, Cutty's, Sid and Sam's and Spiedel Floor Covering. Marv married Jane Elsenbast on August 28, 1981 in Spencer, Iowa.
Marv was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, the Moose Family Center where he served as Pilgrim Of The Moose, and the American Legion. Marv enjoyed golfing, pool league, fishing, coaching baseball and softball, and he especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Marvin passed away on Saturday, February 26, 2011 at the Yavapai Regional Medical Center in Prescott, AZ at the age of 75. He is preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Margaret, his second wife, Jane and his sister, Dorothy Moline.
Left to cherish his memory are his children: Brad Schumann of Des Moines, IA and Shell (Dave) Littlepage of Phoenix, AZ; 2 grandchildren: Jordan and Jenifer Littlepage; 4 step-children: Marie Elsenbast of Santa Rosa, CA, Susan Sanow of Spencer, IA, Ralph Elsenbast of Houston, TX and Robert (Lora) Elsenbast of Fostoria, IA; 4 step-grandchildren: Alexa Sanow, Gracy, Cade and Christopher Elsenbast; brother, Dick (Jean) Schumann of Decatur, IL and brother-in-law, Bill (Joan) Moline of Brownsville, TX; other relatives and friends.
SERVICES
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, March 5, 2011 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Spencer.

VISITATION
Will begin at Noon on Friday. A Moose Service will be held at 5:30pm and the family present from 6:00 to 8:00pm at the Warner Funeral Home in Spencer.
