Mary Ann Adams, the daughter of Ambrose and Julia Daly Kirschbaum, was born June 25, 1941, in Emmetsburg, Iowa. Her childhood years were spent in Ayrshire, Iowa. She received her early education in a catholic school in Ayrshire and later attended and graduated from Ayrshire High School. Following high school, she attended a cosmetology school and worked as a beautician in Spencer, Okoboji and then moved back to Ayrshire.
Mary Ann married Bert Adams on February 6, 1964, in Ayrshire, Iowa. Following their marriage, they lived in Spencer, where she worked at Nelson Drug, Fashionette and the Beehive for many years. She was an active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Spencer where she volunteered with maintenance and daycare for many years. She enjoyed her family, especially her grandkids and her dog, Carter.
Mary Ann passed away at Avera-McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, on Wednesday, September 13, 2006 at the age of 65. She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by one daughter, Jill Ogburn of Parker, Colorado; two sons: Todd Adams and his wife, Brenda of Okeechobee, FL, and Jay Adams of Spencer, IA; seven grandchildren: Kelsea, Tanner, Bri, Austin, Tori, Dylan and Mason; one sister, Pat Hynes and her husband, Jim of Spencer, IA and one brother, Jack (John) Kirschbaum and his wife, Catherine of Spencer, IA; a special lifelong friend, Rosie Rustan of Ruthven, IA; other relatives and many friends.
SERVICES
A Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 A.M., Saturday, September 16, 2006 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Spencer.
A Catholic Vigil Service will be held 6:00 P.M., Friday at the Warner Chapel in Spencer.

VISITATION
Visitation will begin 2:00 P.M., Friday, September 15th with the family present from 6 to 8:00 P.M., Friday Evening at the Warner Chapel in Spencer.
INTERMENT
Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Spencer. Lunch will follow the burial at Bethany Lutheran Church in Spencer.
