Mary Ann Fairchild

March 23, 1931 — September 22, 2011

Mary Ann Fairchild, the daughter of James and Inez Bakke Fraser, was born March 23, 1931, at home in Greenville, IA. She spent her childhood years in the Greenville area, graduating from Greenville-Rossie High School. Mary Ann married Gerald Fairchild, on August 19, 1951 in the Congregational Church in Greenville, IA. Following their marriage, they farmed in Sioux Rapids, Greenville and Spencer areas. Mary enjoyed gardening, snowmobiling and mostly her family. She was an excellent cook and baker. Mary Ann was a member of the Methodist faith. She passed away on September 22, 2011, at St. Luke Lutheran Home in Spencer at the age of 80. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gerald on December 15, 2000 and one brother, Thomas. Mary Ann is survived by her children: two sons and their wives, Mark and Mary Fairchild of Greenville, IA, Brian and Linda Fairchild of Everly, IA; two daughters and their husbands: Jill and Randy Loomis of Emmetsburg, IA and Kristi and Brad Rutherford of Estherville, IA; 7 grandchildren: Robin, Kelli, Dustin and Justine Fairchild; Tiffany Thomas; Chad and Shelby Loomis; two sisters: Ruth Thurston of Spencer and Phyllis Biefeldt and husband, Bill of Ruthven, IA; sister-in-law, Phyllis Jean Fraser of Wisconsin; other relatives and friends.

SERVICES

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30A.M., Monday, September 26, 2011, at the Warner Chapel in Spencer.
